Sunday 26th January 2025 marked a milestone for EDGE—our very first live Day of Dance at Bristol Conservatoire of Theatre Arts. It was an unforgettable day filled with energy, passion, and serious talent.
From the moment the dancers walked through the doors, there was a buzz in the air. This wasn’t just another workshop—it was an opportunity to train like a professional, push limits, and get a taste of what EDGE is all about.
Three Classes. Three Styles. One Incredible Experience.
The day kicked off with a Jazz Tech class led by Adam Denman. After a thorough warm-up, students drilled precision technique, attacking across-the-floor combinations designed to refine their lines, strength, and control.
Then came the fire. Shay Barclay took over for a Commercial Jazz routine set to Will Smith’s version of "A Friend Like Me" from Aladdin. The room lit up as students embraced the choreography, bringing style, power, and performance to every move.
Finally, it was time to step into the spotlight. Emily Goodenough led the dancers through a Theatre Jazz combo to "Big Time". This was all about owning the stage, committing to the performance, and bringing storytelling to the movement—because at EDGE, it’s never just about the steps.
Capturing the Magic
We were lucky to have Ben Marks behind the lens filming the day and Kalene Jeans capturing stunning photography. Seeing the energy, precision, and pure joy in those moments reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
What’s Next?
This was just the beginning. Our first-ever live event has set the tone for what’s to come—and we couldn’t be more excited. EDGE is about pushing dancers forward, providing world-class training, and creating opportunities that matter.
To every dancer who showed up, worked hard, and gave it everything—you proved exactly why you belong here. This is just the start. See you at the next one.
